Nintendo Direct E3 2018 – What do we expect to see?

The obvious contenders to make an appearance at Nintendo’s E3 2018 Direct include the likes of Super Smash Bros, Metroid Prime 4 and Bayonetta 3, the latter two we’ve only seen a teaser or two since their announcement.

Smash Bros has already been confirmed as the front-runner for Nintendo’s lineup this year, with a tournament being held across the show. Expect reveals, gameplay and much, much more from the anticipated brawler.

Splatoon 2 is also holding a huge tournament ahead of its Octo Expansion launching in Summer 2018. Chances are we’ll see a little more of that during the showcase, too.

After a slate of recent rumours we’re really hoping to see Pokemon Switch unveiled with its first piece of gameplay and an idea of its characters and setting. Game Freak has confirmed its in production and will be the next mainline entry in the series. Beyond this, that’s all we know.

A little information on the likes of Yoshi and Octopath Traveller wouldn’t hurt either, as we’ll likely see both of them before 2018 draws to a close. The rest of Nintendo’s selection is shrouded in mystery at the moment, and they’re in a perfect position to surprise us with a thing or two.
