Most anticipated Xbox One games launching next week: Brawlout, F1 2018, Shenmue I & II, and more

Next week we have two new “AAA” releases on Xbox One, but there are still a few surprises here and there. Notably, Shenmue I & II is finally launching on the console, and F1 2018 features exhilarating races on tight courses. With that in mind, here are all the biggest games launching next week, between August 20 and August 24, 2018.

Shenmue I & II

Shenmue I & II is the “remastered” collection of the original games which came out years ago. The compilation still contains original features like the captivating jujitsu combat, investigative gameplay, role-playing elements, and odd mini-games. The title is set in a real-time open world that includes a proper day-and-night cycle and weather changes. Players take a thrilling voyage across faithful recreations of Hong Kong and Japan in a tale of revenge and mystery. Both of the titles are regarded as cult classics, and Shenmue II is one of the most requested games for Xbox One backward compatibility even to this day. Keep in mind that Shenmue I & II isn’t a complete remaster. The visuals are mostly the same.

Shenmue I & II should launch on August 21, priced at $29.99. Those who preorder the digital version can get it for $26.99.

F1 2018

F1 2018 is the latest entry in the staple franchise. The game expands the career mode even further and brings in more classic cars compared to last year.

F1 2018 should launch on August 24, priced at $59.99. The game features Xbox One X enhancements.

Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor — Martyr

The title is an open-world sandbox experience in a persistent universe with a huge variety of missions, brutal combat in destructible environments, and a story influenced by the community. Keep in mind that this game has been delayed numerous times and might not launch next week because we haven’t heard much about the console versions.

Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor — Martyr should launch on August 23, starting at $59.99. The game features Xbox One X enhancements. The physical edition may launch on August 28.

Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier

Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier is a Telltale-like game from Andy Serkis’ The Imaginarium Studios. According to the developer, gamers can choose to play either side of the growing conflict, gaining a deep understanding of the motivations, hopes, and fears of humans and apes in this new world.

Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier should launch on August 24, priced at $19.99.

You lead an organization known as “The Cabal” which fights against a global conspiracy when tensions between the United States and Russia are high.
